Apple Watch Imessage

Apple doesn't not have access to the encryption keys associated with each iMessage account, therefore, they cannot retrieve the iMessages in readable format-that's the point of contention with the FBI and other Gov't agencies that don't like Apples response that they cannot decrypt the user's data, even though that data resides on their servers. Oct 27, 2019 On your iPhone, go to Settings Messages and make sure that iMessage is turned on. Then tap Send & Receive and make sure that you're using the same Apple ID that your Apple Watch is using. If you aren't signed in, sign in to iMessage with your Apple ID. On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, tap the My Watch tab, then tap General Apple ID. Check your iMessage settings On your iPhone, go to Settings Messages and make sure that iMessage is turned on. Then tap Send & Receive and make sure that you're using the same Apple ID that your Apple Watch is using.

I have the exact same issue. When I try to send iMessage from my watch, I get the same error message 'Message not sent'. However, when I check with the recipient I find the message was sent via SMS??? When I open iMessage on my iPhone, I see the sent message in green (sent via SMS). A SMS message doesn't give a 'delivered' note so I'm not sure until I actually call the recipient!!!

Anybody have any comments or idea. I have reset & rebooted 100 times and nothing changes.

Thanks
